A Week of Battles with Chef it up 2 Go Grades 1 - 5

Every day of the week we will have a different themed battle such as Cupcake Battle, Spot On Battle, Chopped and more. We will break the groups into teams and explain the rules of the day to battle it out! Our Chef It Up leaders may make things more interesting by taking away a much-needed utensil or adding an extra ingredient… you won’t know what to expect! Peanut and Tree Nut Free. 

A.I. Adventures-Intro to Machine Learning Grades 3 - 6

Explore the world of artificial intelligence to design fully interactive games and experiences using cutting-edge technology. This program combines artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. After Care

After Care runs from 4PM – 5:30PM

At the end of your child’s daily program, your child may remain on the BCC campus to participate in supervised activities until 5:30 p.m. Your child may enroll in any or all of the weeks during which your child is attending a program. Participants are not permitted to stay on campus following the end of their regularly scheduled day without authorized supervision. A LATE FEE of $50/hour will be charged if the child is not picked up by 5:30 pm.

Amazing Animals Grades 1 - 6

It’s a zoo in here!  This class is sure to delight kids who love creatures.  We’ll be building models of snakes, insects, mammals and more. Each day we’ll discuss fascinating facts about the animals we build, from the chameleon that changes colors to the seal model that waddles across the table. Students will love these moving models that celebrate the wonders of the animal kingdom. 

Amazing College Essays Grades 9 - 12

This course focuses on equipping students with the essential skills needed to craft compelling and effective college-level essays. Through in-depth exploration of essay structures, research methodologies, and critical writing techniques, participants learn to articulate their ideas with clarity and depth. By receiving guidance on thesis development, argumentation, and refinement of writing style, students gain confidence in their ability to produce impactful essays tailored for college applications and academic pursuits. 

Architecture 101 Grades 1 - 6

If you’ve ever gazed up at a skyscraper and wondered how these towering structures stay upright or driven across a bridge and marveled at the engineering required to hold the weight of so many vehicles, or asked yourself “why does the Leaning Tower of Pisa lean?” then you’ll love this class. We’ll explore the architecture and engineering fundamentals behind some well- known structures such as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa tower and San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Put your building skills to the test as we transform common LEGO® Bricks into architectural wonders. Maybe you’ll be inspired to design your own amazing buildings! 

Architecture and Engineering Challenges

Week 2: Grades 2 – 6; Week 3: Grades 5 – 8; Week 5: Grades 2 – 6; Week 6: Grades 5 – 8 runs 1PM – 4PM  

Architecture and engineering are the focus of this program. You will work to design and build towers, balsa bridges and a wide array of Lego and K’nex™ architecture projects. Have fun building famous architectural designs from around the world including Adam Tucker Reed’s famous brick structures including the Empire State Building, Imperial Hotel, Whitehouse, Flat Iron Building, Seattle Space Needle, and more. You will also build bridges, towers, and other structures using a variety of materials, and learn about structural engineering principles and forces that act on structures. Develop science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills in a fun, hands-on environment.

Art Style Painting Grades 4 - 8

Come explore the techniques used to create paintings in such art styles as surrealism, impressionism, pointillism, cubism, and pot-art. Learn different ways of finding ideas for your paintings, and then use those ideas to create your masterpieces using acrylic paint on canvas. 

Arts, Crafts and 3D Design

Week 2: Grades 1 – 6 runs from 1PM – 4PM

Have fun making and creating as we explore a wide variety of arts and craft projects that will bring out the artist in you and put the “A” for Art in our STEAM camps! Projects include sand art, friendship bracelets, painting, making a rain stick, 3D pens, CD spinners, mosaic Sun crafts, and even an introduction to CAD drawing and 3-D printing on our Makerbot 3D printer. Most projects can be taken home!

Babysitting Basics with CPR Grades 6 - 8

Offered on Week 4, Friday 7/26 and Week 6, Friday 8/9

Babysitting Training is provided by the American Red Cross and is designed for young people to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care to infants and children in a residential setting. Students learn about basic child- care and basic first aid. Participants receive a certificate of completion. The class runs for one day only on Friday 7/26 and Friday 8/9 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Beginner Guitar Grades 7 - 11

2-week course

This introductory course covers all the basics that a beginning guitar player needs to get started. Students will develop playing skills such as picking and strumming and learn scales and chords in the context of the songs they enjoy. Some elementary music theory will be introduced, as well as some of the terms that guitar players need to know. Students must bring their own guitars to class.

Beginning Sewing Grades 7 - 9

You will learn the basic building blocks of sewing and get inspired to follow your creativity. Learn how to use stitches to create hand sewn projects, how to add buttons, and other materials to decorate our projects. Another technique we will learn is how to create a no-sew project. The instructor will meet you at the fabric store with a parent the second day to help you select materials for your no-sew project and give you a tour of their fabric department. (Details will be given on the first day of class.) Learn the fundamentals of sewing in a fun and creative way! 

Beginning Watercolors Grades 6 - 9

This beginner watercolor class is a perfect way to explore and express your inner-artist. The beginning watercolor class will teach you a wide variety of techniques including brush usage, color mixing, color application, and how to find your unique painting style. We will complete mini projects such as landscape, ZenTangles and more. Come join us for a relaxing and fun way to learn watercolor!

Bricks 4 Kidz Master Challenge Grades 1 - 6

Ready for a thrilling building challenge? Join The Bricks 4 Kidz Master Challenge, inspired by the dynamic LEGO Masters TV show! This camp is a playground for budding master builders. Each day brings exciting new challenges, where campers will learn advanced LEGO techniques, collaborate on imaginative projects, and test their creativity. From constructing towering structures to engineering moving creations, it’s a journey of innovation, teamwork, and endless fun. Step into the role of a master builder and create wonders with LEGO – sign up now and let the epic building challenge begin!

Learn the basics of composition and personal expression using creative camera settings and free apps that can be downloaded to a smart phone. Learn the functions smart cameras can do—framing the subject and the scene, portrait photography, stopping motion or blurring action using apertures and shutter speeds. We will use the Bergen Community campus and fellow students to capture imagery. We will work with Adobe Lightroom to crop and adjust exposures, learn from each other through group discussions, and make prints of our images. An iPhone or Android smart phone is required for this class. Basic computer and mouse skills are required.

Ceramics Grades 2 - 5

A week of an exploratory class designed to introduce students to basic hand building techniques in ceramics using (self-drying) clay. Students will focus on creativity and self-expression and recognize and use the art element (form). They will build pinch pots, coil designs and slab forms. 

Chemical Wizardry

Week 4: Grades 1 – 5 runs from 9AM – 12PM; Week 5: Grades 1 – 5 runs from 9AM – 12PM; Week 5: Grades 5 – 7 runs from 1PM – 4PM  

Our favorite experiments combined into one super class of science! Get ready for a fun-filled “magical” laboratory experience Harry Potter style! This class is an introduction to the science of chemistry and physics. In addition to learning about atoms, bonding, and the periodic table, you will enjoy making Flubber, Silly Putty, Super Hi- Bounce balls, and more. Have fun making play dough, Glowing Goo, and even a tie-dye style shirt. We will create atomic worm polymers and lava lamp-like blobs. We will also demonstrate the Big Bang Cannon, diet Coke and Mentos Geyser, Magic Genie in the bottle, and more. Most projects will be taken home along with a recipe booklet and mini chemistry kit!

Cloud gaming is the way of the future! Build games you can play everywhere and anywhere using a web-based development tool. Learn in-demand skills like programming events and coding controls for a touch screen or keyboard and mouse. Finish by personalizing levels and characters with your own design. This engaging course introduces young writers to the art of crafting compelling short stories. Through interactive exercises and prompts, students explore the elements of storytelling, including character development, setting, and plot construction. By nurturing their creativity and honing their narrative skills, participants will leave the course equipped with the tools to pen imaginative and captivating short stories. 

Debate Club Grades 6 - 8

Do you like to engage in discussions, structured arguments, and express your point of view? Then come learn debate strategies, and how to research and prepare speeches. This program will prepare you for your school’s debate team and your future as a lawyer or advocate! 

Drawing Like da Vinci Grades 2 - 4

Come learn various drawing techniques using different types of media while looking at the natural world through the eyes of Leonardo Da Vinci. Experience his amazing power of observation and skills as an illustrator, inventor, and scientist. 

DSLR Photography Grades 9 - 12

Do you have a Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera that you want to learn more about? Do you only use the “P-program setting” and wonder what all the other settings do? Learn how to use these cameras in a variety of modes—including Aperture, Shutter speed and the manual settings. Go further with Manual setting and learn to make more creative images—such as stop motion, blur backgrounds, portrait Bokeh effects and more. A DSLR camera, camera manual, and a card reader and/or cables to download images from your camera are required. Basic computer and mouse skills are also required. 

Edible Board Games Battle Grades 1 - 5

Jr. Chefs will pair up into teams and work together using all fun ingredients to create working board games in which they will test out in class using all edible ingredients. This class will get their creative juices flowing! Light snacks will be provided to enjoy in class too! Peanut and Tree Nut Free.

Energy is Everywhere Grades 1 - 5

Energy is essential to almost everything we do, from the lights in our homes and classrooms to the gasoline that fuels our cars. Students will be introduced to the world of energy in all its amazing forms. This class explores many sources of energy from wind and solar power to biofuel and fossil fuel. Students will define terms like renewable, landfill, greenhouse effect and generate and build moving models of just some of the awesome ways we power our world. 

Exploring the Everglades Grades 1 - 5

Build an alligator with a mouth that opens and closes, an airboat to speed across the water, a bird with wings that flap up and down and imagine yourself on a journey through the Florida Everglades. This unique and fragile ecosystem is the only subtropical preserve in North America, and students will hear what makes it such a special place. On our Bricks 4 Kidz® “tour” of the Everglades you get to learn so much, without all the mosquito bites! You’ll even learn why mosquitos are actually “V.I.P.s “(very important pests). Shrink yourself down to mini- figure size and climb aboard our LEGO® airboat tour through the Florida Everglades! We’ll build and learn about some of the cool creatures in one of our country’s largest national parks. 

Film Study for Kids Grades 8 - 12

This interactive course introduces students to the captivating world of cinema through a kid-friendly lens. From analyzing classic to contemporary films, students explore storytelling, cinematography, and character development, fostering a deeper understanding of visual narrative techniques. Through discussions and hands-on activities, participants develop critical thinking skills while discovering the artistry behind filmmaking, empowering them to engage with movies in a more insightful and appreciative manner.

Foods Around the World Part II Grades 1 - 5

By popular demand Chef It Up 2 Go will once again offer the international tour around the world where our Jr. Chefs will be making a different dish daily from a different region such as: Lamington Dessert from Australia, Empanadas from Latin America, Irish Soda Bread and more. This was a huge hit last summer so we’re bringing it back! Peanut and Tree Nut Free. 

Fun with Physics Grades 4 - 7

Week 3: runs from 9AM – 12PM

Get ready to learn science concepts in a fun and unique style. Campers will perform magical physics demonstrations involving Newton’s laws of motion, electricity, air pressure, ultraviolet light, optics, and much more. Students will build a solar-powered car; experiment with spinning tops, gyroscopic motion, discover principles of flight, construct a working fountain, catapult, and much more. Campers will take home solar-powered cars, and many of the projects made in class. 

Holidays In the Summer Grades 1 - 5

Our Junior Chefs will be creating some of our Holiday Favorites to enjoy in class and some to bring home to enjoy with their families/friends. We will make Apple Cider Donuts, Stuffing Bites, Red/White/Blue Shakes or Parfaits and even a Summer Getaway Gingerbread house on the beach…how fun!! Peanut and Tree Nut Free. 

How to Write a Research Paper Grades 6 - 8

This course guides students through the process of creating and presenting effective research projects. From topic selection and gathering information to organizing findings and presenting conclusions, students learn essential research skills. Through practical exercises and guidance on presentation techniques, participants develop the ability to articulate their research cohesively, fostering confidence in both research endeavors and public speaking. 

I ♥ Writing

Grades 3 – 5 runs from 9AM – 12PM in Week 2 and Grades 6 – 8 runs from 9AM – 12PM in Week 6

Make your love of writing come to life by revealing the writer within you! Learn a combination of skills that will assist you in finding your voice in your own writing. Learn the building blocks of great writing, good word choice, key techniques and terms including the four types of genres: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama. Practice using imagery, point of view, mood, metaphors, and many more literary terms. Topics are developed according to students’ interests.

Intermediate Guitar Grades 7 - 11

2 week course

This intermediate course builds on the basics that a guitar player with some experience needs to hone (See Beginner’s Guitar and Beginner’s Guitar II). Students will enhance their playing skills such as picking and strumming, and practice scales and chords in the context of the songs they enjoy. Students must have their own guitars. 

Intro to Algebra Grades 6 - 8

This summer prepare for your success in Pre-Algebra and Algebra, and beyond! Learn about the tools and practice the skills for success. We will be working with number theory, variables, number sense, basic arithmetic, and vocabulary.

Intro to Geometry Grades 6 - 8

In this class you will be learning basic geometry concepts including properties of angles, triangles and transformations, as well as area and volume.

Introduction to Songwriting Grades 7 - 11

2 week course

Create your own melodies and turn your thoughts, ideas and feelings into lyrics. This course explores melody, harmony, rhythm, lyric writing, and the components (verse, chorus, bridge, etc.) that provide the structures of songwriting. Also, participants will learn to work both collaboratively and independently through the creative process. 

Introduction to Spanish Grades 7 - 11

Students will learn Spanish vocabulary by using the context of the movie Encanto. This beginner course introduces basic dialogue of the Spanish-speaking world and its culture. Through various fun activities, you will learn the basics of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in the Spanish language. You will also learn about common Hispanic traditions and styles of life, which will strengthen your connection to the Spanish language. 

Journey with Sharks Grades 1 - 6

Embark on an underwater adventure with Journey with Sharks, where Shark Week comes to life through LEGO building! This camp blends the thrill of shark exploration with the joy of LEGO-building. Aspiring Shark Biologists will construct LEGO models of various sharks, from the mighty Great White to the legendary Megalodon, and learn about their fascinating habitats. Dive into a week of creating motorized sharks, intricate sea life mosaics, and discovering the wonders of the deep blue. Sign up now for a splash of education and a wave of fun! 

K’nex™ Amusement Park

WEEK 1: Grades 1 – 4 runs from 9AM to 4PM

Have you ever wondered how they make those incredible rides you see at the amusement park? You will design and build working models of your favorite rides using K’NEX construction systems. Projects will include a motorized swing, Ferris wheel, roller coasters, and others!

Landscape Painting in Oil and Acrylic Grades 3 - 5

Students will work with either oil or acrylic on canvas, gain an understanding of how to approach and interpret the complex world of landscape. Working from nature, drawings and photographs, learn how to use composition, perspective, tone, color, light and texture to gain desired effects. 

LEGO® Building and Machines

Grades 1 -5 runs from 9AM – 12PM in Week 2 and from 1PM – 4PM in Week 4
Grades 5 – 8 runs from 9AM – 12PM in Week 2

LEGO enthusiasts, have fun building your favorite adventure from the many themes that Lego has to offer. We will offer projects from Lego Star Wars, City, Architecture, Friends, Creator, and many NEW themes. Projects will vary depending on availability from LEGO headquarters but will include age-appropriate new models. Campers will also build a wide assortment of LEGO Education technic machines and create their own projects that illustrate science concepts. Examples include cranes, remote controlled cars, a piano player, and many more. We will also have Lego Robotics. Students will bring home one Lego model at the end of the week.

LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 Grades 1 - 4

Come explore the world of Robotics using Lego Education WeDo equipment. Make motorized devices that relate to moving mechanisms using Legos and computer software! No prior experience required.

LEGO® Films and Stop Action!

  • Grades 3 – 6 runs from 9AM – 12PM

Make your LEGOs come to life! Bring in your favorite action figures or LEGOs and create a short film. If you want to recreate a scene from Star Wars or design a world of your own, this class is for you. Students will need to bring in LEGOs and/or action figures from home, but all other equipment is provided. Student-created films will be available on a password-protected website to share with friends and family. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. 

LEGO® Robotics Grades 1 - 6

Build and program robots in this introductory Robotics class using LEGO! Learn basic programming skills, simple engineering concepts, the names of robot components, and build a complete variety of projects using tilt, motion, and other sensors. This is a great way to prepare young Robotics enthusiasts for future classes. Projects include chirping birds, an alligator, a robot rover, a monkey that plays the drums, soccer-bot, programmable car, and more. (Projects based on age and ability level). Students will work on tablets. Students will build, program, and create robots all week! All students will take home a non LEGO robot as part of the class. 

Lightroom Photography Retouching Grades 9 - 12

Make your image stand out by learning the basics of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Bring some of your favorite images to edit/modify. Learn the basic image editing process and transform, enhance, and compose your photos. Photoshop Lightroom can be used to crop, color balance, eliminate background items, sharpen contrast, add creative filters and more. Basic computer and mouse skills are required. 

Logo Character Designs with Illustrator Grades 9 - 12

Do you know how to make vector-based artwork? Learn how to draw shapes and use typography to make unique designs in Adobe Illustrator. We start by learning the fundamentals of how vector shapes work and how to use the basic tools. As we progress, learn how to add typography, work with overlapping layers, and use masks. For any graphic project, we’ll start with an initial sketch and then create the idea with the computer using Adobe Illustrator. Learn to take your ideas and turn them into eye-popping digital art. Basic computer and mouse skills are required.

Customize your own Minecraft world and mod the classic game in this one-of-a-kind class. Learn scripting and logic statements as you create your first mods. Mini Cake Decorating Grades 1 - 5

Each day our Jr. Chefs will make a different flavored frosting then learn some cool decorating techniques like piping, working with fondant and making cake balls. Take to the skies with mini drones, quadcopters, and more! This camp is the perfect introduction to the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In this camp, safety is a priority as students learn to fly in first-person view (FPV), exploring the real-world applications of drones. Putting critical thinking to the test, campers will brainstorm ways drones could be used for good, sketching out their ideas for new and innovative drones and drone uses. Campers will also experiment with paper planes, flying gadgets, rockets, gyroscopes, physics toys, balloon cars, and much more. All students will take home their own mini-drone.

Mini-Bots, Battle-Bots & Robotic Fun Grades 1 – 6

Have fun building and creating using your imagination. Campers will construct a wide range of robot projects throughout the week.  Projects will include constructing a Battle-Bot from our huge Robot modular collection, participating in our robot tug-o’ war, Olympic competition, soccer match, giant ramp race, Mission to Mars Robot Challenge, and more.  Campers will learn engineering principles in a fun, hands-on atmosphere.  (Additional exploration will take place with several other types of robots that allow for fun robotic exploration and coding! We will explore with NEW Sphero RVR robots, Bolt, Ozobot, Botley, and more.) All students will take home a robot as part of this camp. 

Mock Trial Grades 6 - 8

Mock Trial Grades 6 – 8 runs from 9AM – 4PM in Week 2 and again in Week 6 from 9AM – 4PM

Guilty or innocent? In this class, students will learn the elements of public speaking, principles of the court system, and how to debate the pro and con side of an issue. Students will serve as either a member of the prosecution, the defense, a witness, or a judge. At the end of the class a jury of your peers will deliberate and decide the fate of the accused. 

Model United Nations Grades 6 - 8

Discover global issues, world diplomacy, and parliamentary procedure through role-playing. You become the delegate of a Model United Nations (UN) to explore ways of solving international crises using critical thinking skills, research, and debate. Gain a global vision of our world by taking part in this simulated UN experience. 

Model United Nations Grades 6 - 9

Become one of the 400,000 students around the world in Model United Nations! Assume the role of an ambassador and represent your country to solve current world issues. Throughout the week students will research a world problem, develop solutions, and negotiate consensus with their peers. This program teaches teens and tweens core skills such as research, writing, public speaking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Model UN alumni have gone on to become Supreme Court justices, world leaders, lawyers, and business professionals. No prior experience is needed. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. 

Nonfiction Memoir Writing Grades 5 - 8

In this course budding writers explore the art of crafting compelling nonfiction memoirs. Through engaging prompts and exercises, students learn to recount personal experiences with vivid detail and emotional depth. By understanding the elements of storytelling within real-life narratives, participants develop the skills to capture their unique stories, fostering a deeper appreciation for the power of personal storytelling at a young age. 

Painting Grades 8 - 12

A week of an exploratory class designed to help improve students’ basic art skills in painting using acrylic and watercolor painting and blending techniques. Students will focus on creativity and self-expression, and recognize and use the art elements (line, shape, color, value, form). 

Photoshop Graphics Grades 9 - 12

Learn what you can design with Photoshop. We start with learning about filters and how to work with layers to alter a self-portrait. From that point, some of the challenges will include logo designs, avatars, graphic stickers, or posters. Class projects focus on logo designs, avatars, For any graphic project, we’ll start with an initial sketch and then create the idea with Adobe Photoshop. Learn to take your ideas and turn them into eye-popping digital art. Use basic image editing techniques to compose, transform, and enhance a variety of digital images into a unique design. Basic computer and mouse skills are required.

A traditional art in Spanish culture is piñata making. This messy and long process craft is also fun and creative. This class will teach you the step-by-step process. During the week you will create simple to more complex piñatas. Once finished, projects are taken home for you to enjoy! Note: bring a smock or old t-shirt to use during class. 

Poetry Writing Workshop Grades 8 - 12

This dynamic workshop invites budding poets to delve into the enchanting world of verse. Through exploration of various poetic forms, techniques, and themes, students refine their poetic voice and experiment with expressive language. By analyzing renowned works and engaging in writing exercises, participants craft their own evocative poetry, fostering a deeper appreciation for the art while honing their skills as accomplished poets. 

Pound! A Drum and Fitness Class Grades 3 - 6

Get ready to MOVE, ROCK, PLAY, and MAKE NOISE! What does a Generation POUND class look & feel like?  This class combines movement and music to improve focus, coordination, physical fitness and teamwork skills.  By combining exercise and interactive activities to help build confidence, you will learn new ways to explore movement, embrace your creativity and ROCK OUT! This class will be broken up into half of fun and fitness with drumming and the other half to learn basic drumming rhythms.  Please have a yoga mat, sneakers, comfortable clothing, a snack and plenty of water!  

Professional Email and Resume Writing Grades 8 - 12

This course equips students with essential skills in crafting professional emails and resumes. Through practical exercises and examples tailored to their age group, students will learn the art of composing effective, polished emails for various scenarios and master the strategies to create impactful resumes that stand out. They’ll delve into formatting, tone, content, and etiquette, empowering them to confidently navigate the professional world and make a strong impression in their future endeavors. 

Public Speaking and Speech Writing for Kids Grades 8 - 12

This empowering course focuses on honing the art of public speaking and crafting impactful speeches. Sculpture from Reclaimed Materials Grades 6 - 9

In this class you will learn how to repurpose materials into art. Addressing the importance of reusing items you would normally throw away and turn them into cool artwork. Explore 2D and 3D dimensional techniques by learning hands-on building. Create art out of miscellaneous objects to transform trash to treasure. Brainstorm ideas, problem solving skills, sketch plans, create and design characters, and more. 

Songwriting II Grades 7 - 11

This course moves beyond the basics of songwriting to touch on such subjects as writing a good book, voice leading, recording, marketing and more. 

Spanish Celebration! Grades 1-6

Learning another language can be an exciting experience. This course takes learning Spanish to another level. While we work on basic vocabulary, we also explore other areas of language like geography, culture and cuisine! Every day we will practice vocabulary through engaging games, learn cultural facts and make simple yet fun crafts like papier-mâche maracas and papel picado banners. Celebrations need food and every day we will make a tasty Spanish treat including flan and tostones! Your knowledge of Spanish will also grow in the knowledge of geography with our daily challenges and skits. We will culminate our week of learning with a Spanish FIESTA! (in class made piñata included). Please note some treats may require the use of ingredients that may have been processed in a facility that handles peanuts and tree nuts. 

Spanish Multicultural Experience Grades 7 - 11

Students will develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Spanish culture through interactive projects based on the highly awarded cultural film Encanto. You will know, develop, and use communication skills to understand and express yourself in Spanish. You will learn the skills necessary to achieve proper communicative interaction in the Spanish language, taking into account cultural, social, and diversity aspects. 

Spanish Songs, Skits and Games for Kids Grades 1 - 6

Practice Spanish through role play and emerge yourself in the character using props. Sing along to the many catchy songs that aim to help you practice and learn Spanish vocabulary. And join us in the fun by playing our many culturally based games. This class will teach you Spanish culture and language acquisition in a fun and creative way! 

Star Wars and LEGO® Pirates

Summer Creations Grades 1 - 5

Do you want to get your summer reading and reading work finished quickly? Then this is the class for you! Bring your school’s approved novel and any assigned work that goes along with it. We will create a reading plan for the week to ensure that you will finish reading your summer reading book quickly and effectively! You will be taught different reading strategies throughout the week to help you become a better reader and to avoid the “summer slide.”

Super Science STEAM Challenges Grades 1 - 6

In this engineering camp, you will have fun integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics by building and designing a wide range of gadgets, inventive machines, towers, crazy contraptions, and more. Projects include: The Great Tower Challenge, Wooden Coaster Challenge, Structural Engineering Challenge, Egg Drop, Magnificent Marble Machine, and a host of other fun contests designed to bring out the engineer in you!

Website Design for Beginners

Grades 9 – 12 runs from 9AM – 12PM; Grades 6 – 8 runs from 1PM – 4PM

Learn to make your own personal web page for yourself, a special group or club. Get a basic understanding of the WordPress program. Build the web page with free templates, the Gutenberg block editor, Google fonts, awesome icons and more. Work in teams or on your own—share elements and learn some basic customizations. Class projects focus on creating logo headers, page sections, headings, subheads, feature copy, sidebars, footing copy and more. This class will focus on layout and design for creating websites. We will NOT cover the HTML or CSS code writing. Basic computer and mouse skills are required.
