CC-407 | AutoCAD Level I

AutoCAD® is computer-aided design (CAD) software. This industry-specific software is used by architects, engineers, and construction professionals. They rely on AutoCAD® to create precise 2D and 3D drawings for architectural, mechanical, and engineering design projects. The AutoCAD® Intensive course includes three modules and totals forty hours of training.

Module One: The first module, a total of twelve hours, starts at the very beginning. No experience with AutoCAD®. is necessary. Students will learn the fundamentals of working with the software program in our Drafting Lab and get hands-on experience creating various shapes. After this module is completed, students can:

  • Set drawing limits and scales
  • Learn to use edit commands
  • Work with layers, create text and other basic concepts
  • Turn grids on and off, set grid dimensions
  • Snap to endpoints, midpoints, and more

Textbooks, materials, ID card and exam fees are not included, course texts are located in the college library for student use.

Prerequisites: No Prior Experience Needed
