This course provides students with a foundation to establish, implement, and sustain a safety and health management system applicable for the construction industry. The 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Training is the Prerequisite for this course. This course will review:

• Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA)
• Construction industry standards
• Safety management guidelines
• Injury and illness prevention programs
• National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health’s (NIOSH) Prevent Through Design (PTD) Initiative
• Construction Industry best practices in managing safety on a construction site
