Do you want to take your learning of Spanish a step forward? This course will focus on Spanish culture, historical and fun facts – plus conversational practice sessions in each class. Join us on our journey of learning español! (For 3rd-5th grade students)

Acting Workshop

This in-person course will be held in Ender Hall at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus NJ 07652

This workshop explores many aspects of acting, including: ensemble-building theater games, improvisation, scene study, character development, audition techniques, monologue study, set design and costume design. Students should be prepared to actively participate. The week ends with a live, short production and students will showcase their new skills! (For 6th-8th grade students)

Chemical Wizardry & Super Science STEAM Challenges

This in-person course will be held in Ender Hall at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus NJ 07652

Get ready for a “magical” laboratory experience Harry Potter-style as you mix chemicals to form Flubber, atomic worm polymers, Silly Putty, Super Hi- Bounce balls and much more! We’ll even make tye-dye shirts! All students will take home a mini- chemistry kit & recipe booklet. Also, In this workshop, you’ll design a wide range of gadgets, and inventive machines.  Projects include: The Great Tower Challenge, Balsa Wood Bridge Engineering, and Structural Engineering Challenge, We’ll learn how to draw in scale and do Scratch coding challenges along with a host of other fun contests designed to bring out the engineer in you!    Please bring a 100% white cotton T- shirt to the second class. (For 3rd-5th grade students)

Junior Physicians: Discovering the Human Body - 3rd-5th grades

Discover the anatomy of the world’s most complicated system – the human body! In this program, kids will find out what it’s like to journey through the human body. Explore the science behind blood, bones, organ systems, and more. Participants will test for blood types, make a map of their tongue, make a homemade lung model, perform simulated heart and brain surgery, and much more!  (Simulations are designed for 3rd-5th grade students)

POUND! A Drum & Fitness Class

This in-person course will be held in Ender Hall at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus NJ 07652

Get ready to , MOVE, ROCK, PLAY, and MAKE NOISE! What does a Generation POUND class look & feel like?  This class combines movement and music to improve focus, coordination, physical fitness and teamwork skills.  By combining exercise and interactive activities to help build confidence, you will learn new ways to explore movement, embrace your creativity and ROCK OUT! (https://youtu.be/rZ_sjkyAARY)  This class will be broken up into half of fun and fitness with drumming and the other half to learn basic drumming rhythms.  Please have a yoga mat, sneakers, comfortable clothing, a snack and plenty of water!  (For 6th-8th grade students)

Squishy Circuits, Electronics & More!

This in-person course will be held in Ender Hall at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus NJ 07652

Have fun using conductive and insulating play dough to learn about the basics of electric circuits!  With Squishy circuits, you will get to use unique electronic components to solve problems, engineer solutions and inspire your creativity and thinking.  Build creative gadgets with buzzers, motors, LEDs – plus Little-Bits, SnapCircuits, and more! Then gear up for some amazing science fun and build, tinker, and create amazing gadgets! What happens when gears are connected? Do they rotate together, at the same speed, or in the same direction? Does it even matter how they touch each other? Discover these answers, and more, with this class. Projects include making and taking home a motorized gear and pulley driven car, a hydraulic claw-project, and more! (For 1st-3rd grade students)

Super Science STEAM Challenges - Online Fun!

In this age-appropriate engineering workshop, you will have fun integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics by building and designing a wide range of gadgets, inventive machines, towers, crazy contraptions, and more. Be part of: The Great Tower Challenge, The Wooden Coaster Challenge, The Structural Engineering Challenge, The Marble Challenge, The Bucket Challenge, and a host of other fun contests designed to bring out the engineer in you!  Students will work with ZomeTool, Keva, BA-2.0, Lego, K’NEX, Gravitrax, and a variety of projects that use every-day materials. (For 3rd-5th grade students)
