After Care
After Care runs from 4PM – 5:30PM
At the end of your child’s daily program, your child may remain on the BCC campus to participate in supervised activities until 5:30 p.m. Your child may enroll in any or all of the weeks during which your child is attending a program. Participants are not permitted to stay on campus following the end of their regularly scheduled day without authorized supervision. A LATE FEE of $50/hour will be charged if the child is not picked up by 5:30 pm.
Arts and Crafts Grades 4 - 7
Arts and Crafts Grades 4 – 7 runs from 9AM – 4PM
A fun class to learn about various craft projects using simple supplies you may already have at home. We will explore essential inexpensive tools every crafter should have in their craft box. In addition, we will look at how dollar store crafts supplies can make crafting so much fun and how to be willing to take a chance and try new things with just using your imagination.

Beginner's Guitar II Grades 7 - 10
Beginner's Guitar II Grades 7 – 10 runs from 9AM – 12PM for 2 weeks
This introductory course covers all the basics that a beginning guitar player needs to get started. Students will develop playing skills such as picking and strumming and learn scales and chords in the context of the songs they enjoy. Some elementary music theory will be introduced, as well as some of the terms that guitar players need to know. Students must bring their own guitar to class.
Clay Sculptures Grades 5 - 8
Clay Sculptures Grades 5 – 8 runs from 9AM – 4PM
We will create and construct using one of my favorite materials, CLAY! We will learn hand-building techniques that will allow us to make cool things such as pinch pot animals. We will build with slab pieces, attach parts securely and add surface decorations with textures and build with solid clay by manipulating the clay with our hands and carving tools.
Debate Club Grades 6 - 8
Debate Club Grades 6 – 8 runs from 9AM – 4PM
Do you like to engage in discussions, structured arguments, and express your point of view? Then come learn debate strategies, and how to research and prepare speeches. This program will prepare you for your school’s debate team and your future as a lawyer or advocate!
DSLR Photography Grades 8 - 12
DSLR Photography Grades 8 – 12 runs from 1PM – 4PM
Do you have a Digital Single Len Reflex (DSLR) camera that you want to learn more about? Do you only use the Program setting and wonder what all the other setting are? Learn how to use these cameras in variety of modes including Aperture setting, and Shutter speed setting, even Manual setting and learn to make more creative images—such as stop motion, blur backgrounds, portrait Bokeh effects and more. Class requirements: A DSLR camera, camera manual, and a card reader and/or cables to download images from your camera.
Eureka! The Inventors Camp Grades 1 - 6
Eureka! The Inventors Camp Grades 1 – 6 runs from 1PM to 4PM
Inventing means curiosity, practicality, necessity, and imagining the future! Join us in our Eureka Camp as we step into outer space by launching self-built stomp rockets. Children will witness a volcanic eruption, and learn how magnets can help search for shipwrecks. They will work together to design & build bridges and boats to eventually escape an island and find their way home! Children will even have the chance to launch projectiles with catapults and a large trebuchet!
Intermediate Spanish for Kids! Grades 1 - 6
Intermediate Spanish for Kids Grades 2 – 6 runs from 9AM – 12PM
Practice Spanish through fun interactive activities and games. Our daily focus will include conversations through greetings and vocabulary strengthening through skits, songs and games. Test your knowledge with our daily activity challenge.
International Cuisine Grades 5 - 8
International Cuisine Grades 5 – 8 runs from 1PM – 4PM
Campers will learn how to prepare foods from various countries around the world.
Introduction to Baking Grades 5 - 8
Introduction to Baking runs 9AM – 12PM
This course is a study of the basic theory of baking and proper tool and equipment use. Hands-on baking in a laboratory setting includes the production of dough, quick breads, pies, cakes, cookies, tarts or fundamental items made in a pastry shop or bakery. Demonstration and practice of various cooking methods while adhering to safe sanitary food handling procedures.

Learn programming tools so powerful they seem like magic! Start off by exploring an array of core programming concepts with JavaScript by experimenting in a series of digital challenges. Start with programming your first animated memes, then tackle more advanced skills such as interactive 3D experiences and game creation. Projects will be available on a password protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family.

K'Nex Amusement Park
K'Nex Amusement Park:
- WEEK 3: Grades 5 – 7 runs from 1PM to 4PM
- WEEK 4: Grades 1 – 3 runs from 9AM to 12PM
Have you ever wondered how they make those incredible rides you see at the amusement park? You will design and build working models of your favorite rides using K’NEX construction systems. Projects will include a motorized swing, Ferris wheel, roller coasters, and others!
Kids Show Cupcakes Grades 1 - 5
Kids Show Cupcakes Grades 1 – 5 runs from 1PM – 4PM
Chef It Up 2 Go picks a fun kid show and guides the chefs to prepare 2 or 3 cupcakes to look like the characters from that show using fondant, gum paste & other sweet treats! Some of our favorite shows are: Mickey & Minnie, Sponge Bob; Wizard of Oz; Monsters Inc.; Sesame Street and more! A light snack & drink will be provided in this class so they can take the cupcakes home to show! Peanut & Tree Nut Free.

Lightroom Photography Retouching Grades 8 – 12 runs from 9AM to 12PM
Make your images stand out by learning the basics of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Bring your favorite images to start with. Learn the basic image editing process and transform, enhance, and compose you photos. Photoshop Lightroom can be used to crop, color balance, eliminate background items, sharpen contrast, add creative filters and more. Basic computer and mouse skills are required.
Mini Drones and Flying Physics Grades 3 - 8
Mini Drones and Flying Physics Grades 3 – 8 runs from 1PM – 4PM
Take to the skies with mini drones, quadcopters, and more! This camp is the perfect introduction to the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In this camp, safety is a priority as students learn to fly in first-person view (FPV), exploring the real-world applications of drones. Putting critical thinking to the test, campers will brainstorm ways drones could be used for good, sketching out their ideas for new and innovative drones and drone uses. Campers will also experiment with paper planes, flying gadgets, rockets, gyroscopes, physics toys, balloon cars, and much more. All students will take home their own mini-drone.
Mini Robotics Grades 1 - 5
Mini Robotics Grades 1 – 5 runs from 9AM – 12PM
Have fun building and creating using your imagination. You will construct a wide range of robot projects throughout the week. Projects will include constructing a Battle-Bot from our Robot modular collection, participating in a robot tug-o’ war, Olympic competition, soccer match, giant ramp race, Mission to Mars Robot Challenge, and more. You will learn engineering principles in a fun, hands-on atmosphere. Additional exploration will take place with several other types of robots that allow for fun robotic exploration and coding! We will explore with NEW Sphero RVR robots, Bolt, Ozobot, Botley, and more. Students will take home a robot.
Songwriting II Grades 7 - 10
Songwriting II Grades 7 – 10 runs from 1PM – 4PM for 2 weeks
This course moves beyond the basics of songwriting to touch on such subjects as writing a good book, voice leading, recording, marketing and more.
Star Wars and Lego Pirates
Lego Pirates and Star Wars runs:
- Week 3: Grades 1 – 4 from 9AM – 12PM
- Week 4: Grades 5 – 7 from 1PM – 4PM
Have fun building vehicles and other artifacts related to pirates and the Star Wars collection.

Develop your on-camera presence, your own channel branding, and professional editing skills. Take home a plan for launching your own channel with the content created in class! Student projects will be available on a password protected Black Rocket website to share with family and friends.
