This certification for Technical Assistants to Construction Officials is designed for the individuals working in a municipality (specifically, the building department), or contractors and their staff wanting to understand the construction permit process as required by the State. Course topics include construction and blueprint reading, record-keeping, forms and municipal procedures, understanding code requirements and standards, including UCC laws, construction, electrical, plumbing, and fire codes. Textbooks, materials, ID card and exam fees are not included, course texts are located in the college library for student use.

Prerequisites: A High School Diploma, or High School Equivalency is Required
