SD-099 | ESL Introduction to the English Language

ESL Introduction to the English Language is the 1st course of our Core ESL program. Core Courses take students from Beginner to Advanced proficiency in English. Students’ abilities and learning priorities are targeted at each level. All four language elements (reading, writing, listening, speaking) are practiced in realistic contexts. As students move from level to level new skills and content are introduced into classes.

SD-100 | ESL-Beginner I

ESL Beginner I is the second half of the 1st course of our Core ESL program. Core Courses take students from Beginner to Advanced proficiency in English. Students’ abilities and learning priorities are targeted at each level. All four language elements (reading, writing, listening, speaking) are practiced in realistic contexts. As students move from level to level new skills and content are introduced into classes.

ESL Beginner II is part of our Core ESL program. Core Courses take students from Beginner to Advanced proficiency in English. Students’ abilities and learning priorities are targeted at each level. SD-104 | ESL-Advanced I

SD-106 | ESL-Writing and Conversation

ESL Writing and Conversation is part of our Core ESL program. Core Courses take students from Beginner to Advanced proficiency in English. Students’ abilities and learning priorities are targeted at each level. All four language elements (reading, writing, listening, speaking) are practiced in realistic contexts. As students move from level to level new skills and content are introduced into classes.

SD-107 | ESL-American Pronunciation

This full-morning course is for Intermediate and Advanced students, who wish to focus on speaking skills for a complete 7-week cycle. Practice pronunciation skills to communicate clearly and accurately. Content includes vowel and consonant systems, and practice rhythm, intonation and sequencing. Mastery of easy word patterns through fast-paced drills and interactive, fun conversation activities.
Prerequisite: Intermediate I or Placement Test

SD-108 | ESL-Beginner Conversation

Keep the conversation going in this beginner-level course! Practice speaking about everyday topics in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Use the vocabulary and grammar you learned in your morning class. Improve your speaking and communication skills! Prerequisite: Beginner I or Placement Test

SD-109 | ESL-Let’s Talk

Add this intermediate-level speaking course to your program! Practice how to communicate with better pronunciation, speaking and listening skills, while increasing vocabulary. Discussion of a wide variety of practical and current subjects encourages students to express their feelings, ideas, and opinions. Discussion and conversation form the basis of weekly assignments.

ESL-Let's Talk


ESL-Let's Talk (SD-109)   Add this intermediate-level speaking course to your program! Practice how to communicate with better pronunciation, speaking and listening skills, while increasing vocabulary. Discussion of a wide variety of practical and current subjects encourages students to express their feelings, ideas, and opinions. Discussion and conversation form the basis of weekly assignments. M-TH; 12:30pm-2:30pm or 6-8pm; 7 weeks; $305 (Prerequisite: Intermediate I or Placement Test) (BP)

SD-110 | ESL-Speaking and Pronunciation

ESL-Speaking and Pronunciation (SD-110) Add this advanced-level speaking course to your program! Build effectiveness and confidence when speaking English. Emphasis is on practicing rules for stress, rhythm, and intonation and refining vowel and consonant patterns.
Prerequisite: Advanced I or Placement Test
