CD-065 | Plumbing Inspector ICS

Plumbing inspectors examine and test new or existing plumbing systems in buildings to make sure they are installed properly and comply with federal, state, and local code requirements. The Plumbing Inspector Industrial and Commercial Structures (ICS) course satisfies the education requirement for the state licensure under this title. The course covers systems design, inspection methods, and public health requirements consistent with the regulations of the Uniform Construction Code related to plumbing. This 120-hour course is designed to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and educational experience required by the state for licensure under this title. Textbooks, materials, ID card and exam fees are not included, course texts are located in the college library for student use.

Prerequisites: Possession of an RCS, ICS, or HHS Technical License (Electrical Inspector-ICS, HHS, Plumbing Inspector-ICS, HHS, Building Inspector-RCS, ICS, HHS, Fire Protection Inspector-ICS, HHS, or Elevator Inspector-HHS)

Total Program Hours: 120 hours

Required Textbook: 2021 National Standard Plumbing Code, NJ Uniform Construction Code (Available at the DCA Website)

Plumbing Inspector ICS


This class meets twice a week, Wednesday 6 PM – 9 PM and Saturday 9 AM – 1 PM.

Students can choose and register for either online or in-person Plumbing Inspector ICS course.

CD-065-001WB meets online while CD-065-002 meets in-person at Pitkin Education Center, L-145, Paramus campus.
