CD-466 | Construction Project Organization and Management

A great place to start if you are considering a career change to the Construction Industry. This course provides an overview of the construction industry including the inter-workings between various trades, construction systems and procedures, organizational planning and decision making techniques. The management of various types of construction projects, fees and organizational systems will be explained. An overview of roles and responsibilities of various parties will be discussed to establish the flow of action for project completion.

This course provides an overview of the construction industry; exploring details of the total construction project sequence from start to finish including: 

  • Project types residential, commercial, and more
  • Discover the project team, architects, engineers, contractors, and more
  • Construction systems, planning, standard forms, and procedures
  • Organizational planning, pre and post-construction activities
  • Decision-making techniques, keeping projects on-track

The management of various types of construction projects, fees, and organizational systems will be explained. An overview of roles and responsibilities of various parties will be discussed to establish the flow of action for project completion. Textbooks, materials, ID card and exam fees are not included, course texts are located in the college library for student use.
