Bergen Community College’s CADC approved program will teach the competencies to counsel individuals and groups who are affected by addiction, and provide support throughout the recovery process. Through a series of courses over 5 domains, you will be prepared to sit for the certification exam to be taken upon meeting all state requirements. Completing this program successfully can lead to a certification with the Addiction Professionals Certification Board. A supervised externship of 3,000 hours is part of the Addiction Professionals Certification Board’s certification requirement.
Domain I – Assessment
- C101- Initial Interviewing 6 hours
- C102 – Biopsychosocial Assessment 12 hours
- C103 – Diagnostic Summaries 12 hours
- C104 – Differential Diagnosis (DSM) 12 hours
- C1O5 – Pharmacology and Physiology 6 hours
- C107 – Compulsive Gambling 6 hours
Total Program Hours: 18 sessions, 54 hours
The CADC program consists of five domains.
Each domain is 54 hours of instruction.
Students can enroll in more than one domain at a time.
Domains do not need to be taken in order.
