This 80-hour course is available in daytime and evening sessions. The daytime course runs from 10am to 3pm, Monday through Thursday for four weeks. The evening course meets two nights per week for two months from 5pm to 10pm. (Please note the September 2025 evening course will be held on Mondays & Wednesdays and the October 2025 evening course will be held on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.) Please note: must provide proof of Hep B vaccine on first day of class.
This course introduces the methods and techniques of phlebotomy by providing skills necessary to perform venipuncture, and capillary (finger) sticks for drawing and processing blood samples within a health care facility or laboratory setting. The course includes a review of anatomy and physiology of the hematopoietic system and common blood diseases, associated medical terminology; bloodborne pathogen education; laboratory clinical practice skills. Books are not included in the tuition.
